It`s a nice guide, BUT way too much work and too many things can go wrong. I would rather have bought a new one.....

if you were just gonna buy a new one it would be worth trying, if it works you could flog the old one off to pay for new one. are the ones yer m8s did still working? have heard that quite a few develop the YLOD again after a short while. btw. how did you get the video embeded on forum?

Yeah they prob will go again, that's why u fix then and sell them asap 1 mate's is still going after 1 month, another guy's broke after 3 weeks and the other sold his as soon as he got it running.
Oily to embed the youtube - [flash(425,350)]LINK HERE[/flash] I mod on another forum which uses bbcode so picked up a few things, we have a youtube embed function but that code should work just the same

Feck, can't get it to work now I posted it on another forum using their youtube link and it converted the code to that for here, worked for my OP but that code doesn't work all the time, sorry dude

just tried a variation of this fix on my m8s ps3 all the same but instead if a heatgun you put it in the oven at 200 degrees for 10 minutes its workin at the moment god knows if it'll last will keep you updated

yea wondered if it would survive it myself but cant be worse than blasting it with a heatgun at 350 degrees it didnt show any obvious signs of damage and it works at the moment so time will tell..
